A hotel name containing “Punta Cana” does not identify your flight airport. The reliable starting point is your airline confirmation: check whether you arrive at PUJ or SDQ, then choose the exact accommodation in the quote form.

Read the airport code, not only the city in your holiday package

PUJ is Punta Cana International Airport. SDQ is Las Américas International Airport, serving Santo Domingo. A flight connection or a package description can mention several cities; the airport on the arriving flight is the one your driver needs.

Our website separates PUJ and SDQ transfer pages. A price for one airport is not automatically the price for the other. Do not use a PUJ route to reserve an SDQ arrival, even when the destination hotel is the same.

Hotel areas that are easy to confuse

Bávaro, Cap Cana and Uvero Alto are different destination areas within the wider Punta Cana travel market. Zoëtry Agua, Ocean El Faro and W Punta Cana are treated as Uvero Alto destinations in our service information. Tortuga Bay belongs to the Punta Cana area.

Bayahibe and Dominicus are separate from Punta Cana. Tracadero is a Bayahibe destination. Casa de Campo is in the La Romana area, while Miches is another destination region. Use the actual property rather than replacing an unfamiliar name with a more famous nearby resort.

How to compare transfers without misleading yourself

Select the real pickup and destination in the quote form, then the vehicle and passenger count. The server calculates the applicable fare; guide articles do not replace a live quote. Compare the same journey, direction, vehicle class and group size when checking options.

Avoid comparing a shared-shuttle price per person with a private-vehicle quote for a whole group. Also check whether an advertised offer covers only one direction. Our reservations correspond to individual journeys, and the approved vehicle fare for a route is the same in its reverse direction.

Plan the arrival and return separately

Your inbound and outbound flights may use different airports. Check both before reserving the return. A PUJ arrival followed by an SDQ departure requires a different return journey from a simple reversal of the arrival route.

Keep the local service dates and flight details clear. An overnight flight can cross a calendar date; use the date of the actual Dominican Republic service. Book at least 12 hours ahead and ask the team if you cannot confidently select the itinerary.

Contact us if the property does not appear correctly, the airport is uncertain, the group arrives on several flights, or the luggage needs more space than the selected vehicle may provide.
